Ajay Devgan Removing objectionable contents from ‘Son of Sardar’

Noting the objections raised by the SGPC panel and the leaders of All India Sikh Students Federation AISSF during the special telecast of controversial movie, ‘Son of Sardar’ here on Monday actor-cum-producer Ajay Devgan has reportedly agreed to remove the objectionable parts before its release.

To sort out the issue Ajay Devgan especially arrived from Mumbai to Amritsar. Punjab Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia welcomed the actor. The controversial part of the movie was especially run for the SGPC panel and objecting leaders of AISSF.

AISSF President Karnail Singh Peermohammand, Sikh Students Federation (Mehta Faction) President Parmjeet Singh Khalsa, Sikh Students Federation (Grewal Faction) President Gurcharn Singh Grewal, SGPC Member Rajinder Singh Mehta, Balwinder Singh Jora, Amerjeet Aingh Chawla Bhai Ram Aingh (Members SGPC) and SGPC Media In-charge Daljit Singh Bedi, besides Majithia were available during the special telecast of the movie.

Following complaints from various Sikh organizations Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh had directed the SGPC to get the objectionable contents from the movie removed prior to its release.

Speaking to mediapersons Ajay Devgan, whose ancestors’ roots are in Punjab, said that he would be the last person to hurt religious sentiments of any community.
